We have now removed the crossties and will expand the bed and
place a retaining wall to match the one around the pond.
Stay tuned for the updates on this bed. In the meantime
we have planted a shade bed beside the walkway beginning at
the driveway and extending down to the small walkway to the
crossties next to the pond and bench. We planted Hostas, a
Helebros and Japanese Painted Fern. All the beds have cedar
mulch. I still have to make a bed for all the amaryllis we
brought with us...bless their hearts they are blooming in the
containers we brought them in. Hopefully they will fit in
the bed with the daylilies and iris. The shrubs George gave
us are waiting to be planted too. We did manage to get just
a few of them planted.
