About the grain, in that case I think there is may be too much of it. I agree with Craig.
If the image was darker, i believe it would work better

Personally, I would remove it with this particular image. For me noise works better with "film noir" type images or more experimental shots. This type of image - in my opinion - is enhanced by sharpness or a soft glow. Nice composition and framing.
