On the Rocks

Great South Bay, Long Island

Sayville's Brown's River at the Great South Bay has become
a favorite backdrop for wedding day photography. Now that my D50
is standard boating equipment I was able to share in this moment
of wedding bliss.

Nikon D50
1/250s f/11.0 at 300.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

Very nice capture! One of the reasons I've resisted being a people photographer, it seems to be all about the photo and not all about the event! -BJ

I wonder what they have planned? The bride has no shoes on and the groom has hiking boots!

Were you just cruising by on your boat? Cool shot of the behind the lens work.

How many photographers does it take to get one good wedding picture?? LOL... great behind the scenes shot.. looks like a lovely place to get that special photo :)

Wonderful shot, Chris. Looks like one photographer might be in a scuba suit. Maybe they're planning to jump in? :)

It usually only takes one photographer to ruin a photo, but some people are lucky they get 3. Was it a society wedding to require 2 still and one video?

It is a star wedding, with 3 photographers. Superb light and colors, that gives a feel of old picture. Voted.
