Lovely, intimate landacape scene, Carey. Absolutely! Looking back over the thirty-five years since I lived in Glenwood Canyon at NoName and taught at Glenwood Springs, I must admit I have never lived in as beautiful a setting.
The trail to Hanging Lake, Hanging Lake itself, and Spouting Rock above, offer incomparable photo ops during spring runoff. If you can manage the hike up the side of Glenwood Canyon, that is. Sadly, that perfectly delicious hike is in my past.
One more personal favorite photo opportunity not far from Glenwood Springs lies along the road to Marble and beyond, up the 4WD drive road to Crystal City.
