You use your vantage point to express the delicacy of these grasses by backlighting them. The sun itself plays a major part in this image -- it is the sun that brings life to these plants and you make the connection expressively, Heidi. Another way we can express the delicacy of such subjects as this is to find a place where they may be backlighted against a shadow, as I did in my shot of "Reeds, Mt. Carmel, Utah" (http://www.pbase.com/image/69229468 ) Not only is the direction of the light important, but the placement of shadow as well.
