Thanks, Kal for posting this color version. It confirms my hunch. This version reaches out and pulls us with the red letters and then reveals the plates stacked behind the steamy window. This is powerful travel photograph, which stresses a sense of place. The black and white version also works, but on an entirely different level and for a different purpose. It has much less impact on the eye, but perhaps more food for the imagination. I prefer this one - the imagination is still fed -- albeit not as plentifully.
