Brown-headed Cowbird, male

back yard, Stanford campus

This unwanted harbinger of spring appears annually in our yard around the time other birds are beginning to establish nests; the cowbird is a nest parasite, laying eggs in the nests of species of birds that will incubate them and feed and care for the chicks, at the expense of the young of the host species.

The same situation happens with Cuco bird in Europe, he lays eggs on other birds nests. :-) I really enjoyed visiting your page.
Can you give me an advice? Im thinking on buying myself a 300mm lense for my canon eos 30d. ive seen many reviews but im even more confused with that same reviews. if you could email me, I really apreciate it.
thank you.
