This is a good test of the Canon 30D at 1600 ISO using the Tamron SP 200-500mm f/5-6.3 Di LD (IF) handheld.

The shot of the bird is good in itself but the rotational symmetry of the ironwork makes it even better.

Jess, Thanks for the bird type. I also thought the bird looked "too centered" after publishing it. I've cropped the photo and republished.

Bob, this is a Chipping Sparrow in breeding plumage. Nice bright clear image but a bit central. You might think about cropping a bit off the right-hand side.
