I walked around a small portion of my five acres photographing the wildflowers.

The area is rocky, with very little soil, so wildflowers are few and far between, but I am grateful for each one.
About three acres is a steep hill which I don't traverse much anymore!

I have never seen this one before....it is growing on a vine in the middle of a beautiful
cactus. I tried to show the leaves so that perhaps someone could identify it.More here: http://www.pbase.com/petesie/wildflowers06

What a gorgeous shot of this beautiful flower. My mother had a pin that was similar to this with a pearl in the center. I wonder what happened to it. At first I thought you had made this shot with that D camera.
