This woudl be lovely in my Granddaughter's room, she is a brand new ballerina! Very pretty. Yvonne

A lot of the set up shots lack any feel or photographic merits, like Larson’s shot of the Teddy Bears & rough looking diamond ear rings. But this ballet shoe shot has softness & lighting & some feel to make it a photograph worthy of investigation, so it succeeds in my book. Shu's set up shots normally work well because she uses the light & reflections of glass to create something other than a bland shot of a glass. Techo does quite a few bland set up shots that Graphic designers would like for their layouts as they're clear sharp shots of objects with no feel to get in the way of their layouts. He's also done some fine set ups that I really like but as in this challenge he reverted back to bland clear sharp nothings with the pencils:-)

What is wrong with a setup shot, Rod? This is really nice although I think the tip of the front slipper is a tad oof. Maybe some USM would help a bit?

Even though it's a set up shot it works for me & looks very good. Well done Lars:-)

Very pretty! Love the soft color and the shiny texture of the shoes - nice lighting too. :-) CJ
