This shows the various components used in making the bino close-up lens.
On the left is the front element from and old pair of binoculars.
A lot of elbow grease was used in fileing off the threads at the top.
The component in the middle shows the bino optics slotted into a piece of PVC pipe after having the threads filed off.
A ring of felt is glued for protection just in case the camera lens hit the metal part of the bino optics.
The partly assembled lens is then slotted into another piece of PVC pipe that is slightly bigger than the camera lens tube.
