Thanks Britt. I adjusted the contrast a little and darkened it a bit too. I also noticed that the right stone looked like it had a face and the one in the background looks like it's frowning! :-) CJ

Nice shot, I like the right stone as it looks like it has a bit of a face.
Thanks Mary Anne - I'll see what I can do with the contrast, although I did already adjust it a little, maybe it could use a little more.
Here's my England gallery if you want to see a few more of my Stonehenge pictures.
http://www.pbase.com/cj_in_ca/england_london_stonehenge I like your Stonehenge pictures too - nice composition and nice clouds! They always add interest to a picture. :-) CJ
A sunrise pass.... I was wondering how you managed to be there for such long shadows at this time of year. When we were there a few years ago, we weren't able to get in till almost noon, as you can see from these photos. We did, however, have some nice skies.
BTW, I like the way you've captured the texture of those old rocks. I'd just suggest increasing the contrast a bit and see if that doesn't help them to stand out more.
Thanks Rod and believe it or not, I didn't PS the sky! I actually had a pass for a "sunrise" viewing of the Inner Circle but at 8am the sun had already come up. So no nice sunrise shots of Stonehenge and no interesting clouds either but at least it was a blue sky rather than the dull looking sky I had when I went to Westminster Abbey (see pending) and I was able to even get a pair of shadows in there too! :-) CJ

I really like this shot Carole but why did you photoshop the blue sky in? England has never seen a blue sky:-)
Well framed too.
