Some friends and I rode this (and the rest of the Salmon River Loop) by bike on 3/24/07. There was still a good volume of snow at the summit and in the shady places lower down, but there was substantially less snow than in your photos which were taken 3 weeks later in the year. Farther south at Carter Meadows summit, there was even virtually no snow.
