Super shot! The color & metal texture are impressive, and the comp leads the eye into some very interesting spaces. I really like this image.

The blue is daylight entering through the upper slots in the tower while the lower half of the tower has incandescent bulbs mixed with daylight coming in the door. I added contrast and believe you were right but some will say I went too far.

No, this is a good example of a fisheye giving more natural perspective than a rectilinear would have. The same shot with a 10-22mm Canon would have spread the corners more. The subject was round and, in general, a fisheye gives a better view of round without software trickery.

interesting pov... nice shot Doug. I like how it ends up looking blue at the top. A little more contrast might go a long way to pop the detail which you did such a good job capturing.
