Time to really take off
Be all that I know I am
Even if it means a battle
For self preservation
Standing out on a limb
Perched in utter darkness

Through experiences of tragedy
With death defying acts
Still standing strong
Entering painful interludes
Many would never dare
Speak my valued truths

Turning back isn't an option
Leaving comfort of the familiar
Risking with frightening uncertainty
Pathways with hidden obstacles
Living for what I truly believe in
No matter what lurks in the unknown

Sensing that I never walk alone
Hoping to help others who suffer
Creating an existence of wholeness
Not looking back at a worn pattern
Holding visions under new light
To be what I make my own...
