It was a few months ago that I attended my first baby shower. Since so many of Annie's friends are guys, it made sense for her baby shower to be of the "Jack and Jill" variety.
Today, I met Adenine for the first time. She is a very small baby, with big cheeks, and a deceptively powerful set of lungs! And, she is a source of pure joy for family and friends alike. There was a certain energy in Fred and Annie's apartment today. I had trouble putting my finger on it. But, it was certainly emanating from Annie, Fred, and Adenine's grandparents. The energy was warming, enriching, and inspiring. Even when Adenine was crying (that which baby's just do), there was peace and contentment. Congrats, my friends.
