Rainbow Falls

just a 2.7 mile hike off of the Roaring Fork Motor Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Rainbow Falls is a 74 foot waterfall I think said to be the highest falls in the park. I will check the facts on that later.

A wonderful hike with plenty of portrait opportunites with wildflowers all around (not blooming yet)

The parking lot for this trail is best accessed from light #6 in downtown Gatlinburg, TN.

I used a tree trunk to brace the camera to get this shot handheld since I didn't bring my tripod with me on the hike.
