Quite Early One Morning

The Fed Ex guy dropped off a new toy I'll be trying out today if the weather holds: a Nikon 17mm - 55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX. It weighs a bit more than the 18-55 mm but should be a lot sharper for landscapes from all that I’ve read. We’ll see.

Great lens - I hear nothing but good about it. It's huge tho right? This is a great start with it - excellent near / far landscape. Looking forward to seeing more.

thats funny, canon just can out with a EF-S 17-55mm IS f2.8 lens. Cant wait to see some shots. I love the low clouds over the ciold looking mountains.
