I tried out a couple of shots using a pinhole lense on my camera today.
After a few tests, I took this shot and my alternate for today.
I'm not as happy with the detail of the image, but then my pinhole was a piece of foil taped over the front of my camera with the lense removed.
It was a chore to frame shots as there just wasn't enough light coming in through the pinhole and our day was overcast.
I imagine it would turn out better with a bright sunny day.
Also, I noticed the depth of field seemed to get better the further away the subject was.
I read somewhere that the pinhole technique is really good on landscape shots, perhaps that's the reason.
I will try more of these later after I've had a bit more experimentation.
I tweaked the levels and contrast, and obviously did the b/w, in Lightroom, and then did a little dust removal in PS.
Speaking of dust, you better have your ccd clean before trying this. it'll show all the crud!
