Wednesdays are always rough, usually because Monday and Tuesday were no easy tasks.
It's become somewhat of a tradition to weather part of Wednesday with Matt. Sometimes Wednesday means margarita. Sometimes it's a margarita without the margarita mix. I learned to mix vodka tonics on a Wednesday night. Today, there was a steak, so red wine played the role of the margarita. Less important is the choice of beverage than the chance to catch up with a good friend. In the hecticness of the workweek, it often times takes deliberate effort to set time aside. For many of us, we work so that we can live and living usually involves time spent with friends, family, and/or community. I'm quite fortunate to have such quality in all three.
So, as they say in Italy, "salute".
