3/24 - Supervision

Chimney Hill Drive view map

So how many supervisors does one worker need?

I post this not because it is great but rather because it is an example of what happens when you skip the right chance at a shot to begin with.
Coming home from a lunch meeting today I passed this water utility crew working. One the first pass all 4 of these guys and one more who is
now out of frame where lined up, right next to the one at the top of the ladder in this shot, on the side of the hole staring down at the one
guy in the bottom, working . I though "That would make a cool PAD. Some real "street" photography there" and I then I drove one with my
camera left in the bag. Then I reconsidered and decided to go after it like I should have done to start with. Too late. This was all I
could get after having to circle the block to get back into position for the photo. Lesson to me...take when it presents itself and
or miss it completely.

Reminds me the old song by Bernard Cribbins called "hole in the ground"!
The only difference between this scene and the UK, is that no one is drinking tea!

the hole is only so big!

I gotta agree with Scott. You should have kept driving around the block. The shot would have been there again. :-)

Good one Bob! I agree with Scott, if you waited a few minutes they would have one worker and several "supervisors"...lol!

Yep, looks like he's climbed the corporate ladder to management now. Good shot

I agree with David and Scott

I'll bet if you hung around for a few minutes you could have gotten all five standing around staring at the hole ;)

I still like the image though, a classic scene the world round I imagine :)
