We shot this large adult in Melanie's mother's yard here in town. Gotta love those horned lizards. Ever since I worked with the coastal species of these creatures on a relocation and radio tracking project out in CA, I have had a new respect for and appreciation of them. We fed them live harvester ants (pogonomyrmex californica), which we had to go collect at the ant holes several times each day until the animals were ready to be relocated to their new homes.
