Melanie grabbed this image along a road we were hiking while doing our regular searching for wildife of all sorts. The butterfly was a lifer for us, but a steep slope prevented us from getting any closer than this. Dartwhites are among the more colorful and "pretty" butterflies in the family pieridae.
