Son of Charles MacArthur and actress Helen Hayes, James MacArthur starred in many films and television shows. He played detective Dan Williams in Hawaii Five-O in the 60's and 70's opposite Jack Lord as Steve McGarrett. The term "Book him Danno" became a popular term to use and still heard to this day.

Mr. MacArthur happened to be on the same Continental DC-10 flight to Honolulu and was nice enough to allow me to take his photo in the gate area.
