Brent: I agree-the top part of the flame is missing. I just did not know how high it would go.
And I kept stumbeling over the two tripods all the time, and thus had to realign everything again. I will try to do a little better over the weekend.
Shirley: This is only one turn on the lighter. I shot it in the dark: just open the shutter with the cable release in bulb mode, fire the lighter and then release the shutter again. I tried several turns on the lighter as well, but it was just overlaoded.

Pretty neat! You know I thought it was some kind of ground fireworks. Still can't figure out how you did it. How did you keep the flint making spark for 1 1/2 seconds? Or do our lighters make that much spark from one flick? Hummm? Always amazing to see daily things in a different "light".
