I came across this snake in the bush recently when photographing wild birds.
He was less than 2 feet away from me! I have never been so close to a snake
in the wild before. Talk about a heart starter. I got the one photo only
and then we both disappeared in opposite directions.

See the pale stripes? I think he may be a Tiger Snake -
one of Australia's venomous!
