We stopped again at the Tioga summit to view the massive granite formations that make up the mountains of Yosemite. After a short lunch break we went on through the park and headed for Devil's Postpile National Monument for our first camp. In getting there we passed near Mammoth Ski Resort which was just coming alive for the winter season.
