Very nice image. A suggestion: when shooting a scene as contrasty as this, try using a tripod and shoot one image exposed for the shadows and a second exposed for the highlights, then, in Photoshop, combine the two into one image with good exposures in both areas. It can even be done without a tripod if you have a steady hand. Make the two exposures as identical as possible except for exposure values.
