What cute hairy hobbit hands you've got. I can't equate them with those muscly rugby player's legs.

Thanks Kate. The 50mm macro at f2 is lovely to use, so sharp even wide open.
Charlie - I may have a hand fetish at the moment,

but if you go back through the challenges, you'll see my legs are also still attached ;-)

I had Perthes disease when young. These days, there are drugs to cure it, but back in the old days, the treatment was immobilization by locking your legs in plaster for a looong time! Probably explains my slightly deranged character. Ga.

This is a fabulous shot. I really like the way you have used differential focus. Kate

Sorry for my spelling in my first comment..... Interesting that you were in a wheelchair and focus alot on your hands. Thanks for the added insight. You have really piqued my interest now.

Thanks

Charlie

Well I do take a mens L in gloves, but I know what you mean, I don't have sausages for fingers. Sort of more like piano players fingers? Got a pretty mean grip mind! I could squeeze 20stone on footscales when I was in my teens. Probably due to my being in a wheelchair for 3 years as a kid! You don't want to see what happens to my wireless mouse when the batteries run out ;-) Ga.

Gareth
I like the desire to look within and dig deeper. But man can't you got ten little spades there. ;-)

Nice one

Hard to see through the humor sometimes to see the human life beneath. Since this is a self portrait and you chose this particular part of the Creation where God gives the spark of life to Adam (though I thought it was a breath) - hmmm.... A very stimulating idea of oneself. I would enjoy this conversation by a fire with a brew. Then again perhaps this is not what you intended at all? Would still enjoy the fire and the brew :-) - brent

The first thing I thought of when seeing this was Michael Angelo but.... then I got to thinking maybe the bad nail guy was just longing for someone to hug? ;o) Very wonderful lighting and DOF for this shot.

I was going to say it reminded me of a Blake drawing, but of course it was Michelangelo, or Leonardo or one of those Renaissance dudes. and it does look earthy and raw, and I DID say i loved it :-)

No... its Gerard with two foot lopped off the top (and the bolts removed.....)
Of course its ME silly :-)
uncorrected tungsten ... UNCORRECTED TUNGSTEN!!??!? its supposed to be all earthy and raw - sort of like that mikey angelico bloke doing the graffiti thing on some church roof... you know the one - I think Melvyn Bragg bought the painting or something ....
I have posted the original in the ...er ... originals gallery. As if an artist needs to explain their art.... humph....

Yes, who. Is it you, Gareth?
Whoever you are, you'll need to identify yourself by voting time.

I Like it too, but who is the poster ?????

Love this, it's actually quite poignant and the (uncorrected tungsten?) lighting works well.
