Lucie, The names may be metaphors, but they struck me as parallels. The ego (self-discovery) was always there, but all the time the series concentrated on the child and the shadow communicating. It was only when the realisation sets in that the shadow is yourself (the super-ego Vs id) that true discovery takes place, because now the light is what it is all about....this is the end of the series, which is dedicated to Freyha discovering herself.
