This was taken just after sun rise in Tunisia's biggest salt lake, the Jerid.
The lake covers a great extent; it literally stretches as far as the eye can see in this photo,
and them the same in the opposite direction.
The lake was fairly dry, being summer, but there's still a reddish pool of water with some salt visible at its edges.
