Your faithful reporter is standing in the railroad cut spanned by the antenna. The device is called the “Great Northern Radiator” after the railroad that once operated trains in this cut. I took this photo to satisfy the Chief of Analysts, who wanted a photo that depicted the scale of the thing for some exotic project (I cannot divulge any details under penalty of re-assignment).

This doubly-advanced dual-node dipole bi-radiator (name checked for unintentional redundancy) is the only remaining piece from a UFO that crashed here in the 1950s. All other traces of the craft were removed for scientific analysis and to prevent the general public from finding out what happened here. Later, the site was purchased by the government and fenced off to keep unauthorized personnel away.
