beautiful, cotton balls, so simple... love it! I'd try to push up contrast a little (do USM 20/60/1 and see what happens... it's called contrast sharpening).
This is white indeed... We can look at it and see nothing, but then the eyes start to adjust and we see something there... You definitely make us look with this one. Quite a challenge.
