Tuzigoot Indian Ruins

Located in the Verde Valley, the ancient Sinagua built these dwellings around 1125 AD and reached their maximum population in the 1300s. For reasons unknown, they abandoned the pueblos by the early 1400s. They lived mainly by farming, but also hunted deer, antelope, rabbit, bear, muskrat, and duck.
