The weather was against the flower vendors on this day. Near where I live the farmers grow flowers commercially so I know how hard they work to bring their crop to a peak at the right time. They are out at dawn and face a constant battle with the birds. Red-whiskered bulbuls can be particularly destructive. Unfortunately many farmers use nets to protect their flowers and I have seen lots of birds and fruit bats caught. The nets are illegal.
