1/28 - Shadows Bowing for the Dead

Riley Cemetery, Carrollton TX view map

A friend has an old family cemetery in his neighborhood, in fact, his house is next door (his choice). I shot some pics there this afternoon after helping him lay some floor tile.

This shot is a prime example of why I am doing a PAD, the learning experience. This is not what I wanted and I will do it differently next time. The focus of this shot is intended to be the headstone in the back left of the photo. It should have been the one in the front right. I see that now, looking at the finished photo but it was not so visible to me while behind the camera. I also should have exposed for the light on the front headstone. I tried to force something that was not there and while this is not a bad picture, it could have been so much better.
