The joys of "nesting" a family? Barn Swallows resting after a full day of tending to the young chicks in the nest, who are constantly whelping for more food. This shot was taken as one bird was resting under the roof of the dock and the other Swallow had left the nest to get more insects but immediately turned back scolding and landing at the same time. After this shot, the two birds just sat there for a moment as if in "timeout mode".....then went back to the parents duty of feeding the four chicks.
