nice framing! the only thing i would say is that it looks a little flat - i don't know what it looked like originally, so maybe that happened post-processing - but great composition.
Yeah, that string works well as a cheap "image stabilizer". Didn't use it on this pic, though. Maybe I should have :) The image was intentionally turned to look kinda like oversharpened, but probably this isn't the sharpest of images anyway, shot at ISO 1600 and at that slow shutter speed. I might go through the image again in post processing and change / turn down the sharpening for this web version.

Great shot under obviously tricky conditions. It looks like there's a bit of detail been lost though. Did you have to sharpen heavily? A loop of string the right length to go under your foot and round the lens with a little upward pressure can gain you a stop - a kind of foldable monopod in reverse!
