Ok, here's one for you to laugh at. I've been coveting one of those light tents (you know I like reflection-less photos, and I can never get them right). Well, we were driving home in the dark, it was snowing, and I saw something white flutter alongside the road (did I mention that tomorrow is trash-day?). Almost reminded me of a light tent. So, when we got home, I went to check it out and took it home. Assembled it (it turned out to be a wireframe doll's bed with white curtains over it, all the way down the side, no idea why it was tossed out). So, I turned it upside down, put the curtains on the bottom and voila - my very own light-tent. Now, it needs cleaning, and probably a different cover, but a quick test shot (my PAD) shows less reflections than usual. And in case you are wondering, it's only water in the glass :) And of course tonight, of all nights, one of our neighbors was shoveling snow on his drive-way in the dark and saw what I did. I'm sure he had a good giggle at my expense :)
Post-processing was desaturating all but the (glass) olive, although there was only very little color anyway. Levels, curves, cloning out some spots, the usual stuff.
Today's alternate is yet another out-of-my-office-window shots:
