Jersey Airlines De Havilland 114 Heron

Hey Paul
http://www.pbase.com/airpaul
this one is for you.

An authentic Jersey Airlines De Havilland Heron. This plane is still
flown regularly by a group of enthousiasts and it really is a sight
for sore eyes to see this beauty fly. I guess I have a soft spot for
this particular plane which calls the Jersey Airport its home.......

Canon EOS D60 ,Canon EF 100-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM
Dull weather allowed me to use a slower shutter speed to get movement in the props. This was shot at 1/60 F32, Iso 100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I was born in Jersey 1948 as son of a Jerseyman and a swiss mother. We frequently travelled to Switzerland via Paris on JERSEY AIRLINES. I can still distinctly remember the DC3 then the Dove and then the Heron. When my parents finally separated in 1961, I was "treated" to a flight on the Dart Herald. Unforunately, I spent the rest of my life in switzerland and never got round to moving back to Jersey, although Switzerland never became home to me! I used to spend hours as a boy at ZRH Airport watching the planes take-off and wondering whether any of them were heading for Jersey. I now live in France on the outskirts of Auxerre, which funnily enough is smack in the middle between JEY and ZRH. Glad I got the opportunity to tell smoebody out there on the Internet of my plight (or is it plite?)
