This pair of cranes is all that remains of a lost industry at Salford Quays, Manchester.
Although Manchester is inland, a large canal was built by the Victorians to connect the city to the sea.
Now the warehouses are converted to posh offices and apartments, and these cranes are allowed to rust in peace.
