The Peter Pan Thief -- Caught in the Act!
this adorable trouble maker made so much noise i figued he _wanted_ to have his photo taken!

the bad news is that it was pitch black around 4:30 am this morning so focusing on 'nothing' proved
rather a challenge. i had to keep tweaking the focus in between flashes, as that's the only time i could see the little thief.

i must say, the antics also made it difficult--i had to keep from laughing as he stuck his head
and entire upper body into the peanut butter jar, trying to get every last bit of peanutty goodness.
when he tried to carry the spoils off the deck, i almost couldn't stand it. the jar kept flipping up
over his face so he couldn't see where he was going.
he was whipping his head back and forth trying to figure out how he could see where he was going without having to let go of the jar.
a delightful encounter.

this taken with the cheapy 75-300 III lens (which i don't believe has USM?)

Technical aspects aside - this sure is a pleasant photo - one of the cutest I've seen. Very well done overcoming the challenges of the shot - kudos to you
