Thanks all for your comments. Doctah I appreciate where you were coming from, and I understand not everyone would like this image, I guess I posted this for myself more than anyone else.

Let it go. I have and so has everyone else bar you. As far as I am concerned if it is a comment designed to stir up controversey and it is not signed I will delete it.

The un-named sod who seems to think I have no permission how about asking every other person who has displayed the face of a friend whether they have permission.

I saw the original comment, and this seems to be a bit of an overreaction, not to mention the cheek of deleting it. Sorry to hear about your broken heart, but that's no reason to be snippy.

I'm afraid the image doesn't move me overly, though I will say that I much prefer this crop. The other seems forced. -Doctah

Ok, one final final comment, Richard, please see in the forum, I think, we should be ok now, at least I understand you now.
Dear anon poster, very kind, this is not a swan's song, but you are more than right, I'm gone - yet, believe me that I am not to stupid to differentiate between two identical comments by pressing the button twice, and someone else signing off with my name using the CSLR_account, which I did not. And you are very tough, not to add your name to your post. Armin

Armin,
I am assuming the same as ArminB, who I respect and admire, whose images always capture a part of us and who manages to create envy from people like myself who strive to get better at photography. I recieved your email, and I am unsure what the crime is I was supposed to have committed. I posted my last comment and have been out of town since then. I arrive back to this. I was unhappy that someone had given me grief without signing their name. This is the first I know of your interest in my image.
Maybe we can get back to telling me how good/bad my image is, and maybe what I could do to improve it. I have explained my reasons for posting this particular image, against my better judgement but thought it might help get us back on track.
Richard Adams.

Get a grip, Armin. Nobody except you duplicated your post. That happens when you accidently hit the enter key a second time. As far as you leaving, you have been singing that swan song for the last three weeks. Leave, already.

WOW, that was funny, dublicating my comment now with the cslr challenge account. OK, you've won, I deleted all my former comments on your entry...it is your soul, not mine...Armin

Thanks Traveller,
This is the woman I loved, and who broke my heart only a few weeks ago. Funny though we are still great friends although I am nowhere near being able to cope seeing here with another man I do respect her and would not use the internet as a way to embarrass her, I respect her too much to do such a thing. Traveller when I took this picture we had broken up only had not yet parted ways, and when I first saw it I immediately thought album cover, maybe being a Jim Morrison fan provoked that thought, as it is rather similar to one of his covers, although the sex is different the image is very similar. I am 30 years old and this is the first time I have had my heart broken, well not broken but smashed into the ground. You are right about me being unsure of what it is meant to convey, the song talks about someone who cares too much about everyone else and not about themselves, and being angry, maybe resentful about all they do. I guess when I look at this picture I see the sadness and resentment in her eyes.

Dear Richard: I also like it better with the nipples...barely showing. I am also very good with the title, which lends meaning and makes this a much more provocative image. Though also maybe a distressing image....I am, as you are I suppose, betwixt and between on what this is meant to convey. I don't doubt for a moment the truth of the picture...but it is hard love, that's for sure. Real Best Wishes to You and Yours, Always, Traveller

Thanks Grant and Mikel.
Mikel I thought it looked better that way, although felt they took away from the feel of the image. Maybe I will go back to that version.
The un-named sod who seems to think I have no permission how about asking every other person who has displayed the face of a friend whether they have permission. Get off yoour high horse and maybe just comment on the image. Even with the nipples showing it was not at all erotic. What is it to you whether or not permission was granted, and FYI she did not mind in the least.
Richard Adams.

It was better with nipples.

I'm slightly afraid of this but I like it.
