Ridgebacks are notorious for several things - high prey drive, energy, counter surfing and curiosity. They have to know absolutely everything that's going on in their territory and with their 'pack'. There is major work going on in my kitchen right now - workers in and out just about every day ripping out everything down to studs and subflooring. They've hung a huge plastic sheet over the doorway into the family room in a mainly futile attempt to keep work dust in the kitchen.
The male, Loki, stays away from it, preferring a soft bed and marrow bone to chew on. But the female, Roxie, is fascinated by this work and the men doing it. She pushes through the plastic to watch or, if they're eating lunch, head out to visit. When they're not there, she looks for them, like she did today.
They told me they've never met a dog quite like her. I hope they mean that in a good way.

She has a 'high prey drive'. They meant it in a good way. I like the way this is framed & a shot of your Ridges is always cool
