Aswan, Egypt

Day 382
Some might say I like my food. I suppose I do, too much sometimes! How am I manageing here. Quite well thank you – touch wood. However, the early starts are most unsettling. Especially when the towns dont seem to close up until 2 am. I fnd myself wearing earplugs in bed – which I never do – simply to manage a good nights sleep, away from the dogs, shouting, horns blaring, and mosques calling. All in a normal day in an Egyptian city.
Today, travelled early morning from Luxor to Aswan by train. I suppose we should be honoured that the trains work at all, although the station at Luxor is ornate on the outside, but a bit shabby on the inside, those parts that are complete that is!
Aswan souk is a much less hassling place to walk around than Luxor's – although that does go with territory a little bit. And isn't all given over to tourist tat! Some traditional stalls still remain. Such as spices and fruit and vegetables.
Better get some sleep now – a very early start calls tomorrow!!
