Lake Qarun, Fayoum, Egypt

Day 377
Another day, another (few) pyramids! Those today were somewhat different though, pre-dating the “Great Pyramids” at Giza. From the step “pyramid” of Zoser at Saqqara, to the Red and Bent Pyramid, at Darfur. It also meant we escaped Cairo. Especially at Darfur, the atmosphere was totally different. Much quieter, and therefore much easier to relax in. Also a drive along a desert highway – complete with the coach driver filling up.... 170 litres of Diesel cost 100 Egyptian pounds – or 10 pounds sterling!!
We ended the day at a resort on the banks of Lake Qarun. Although I could hear a mosque in the distance, absolutely no traffic noise! Woohoo. And Beer :)
So instead of a predictable photo this evening – or even an SP – it being Friday – how about a pool level view. I've seen something similar in one of my portrait books, and couldn't resist the chance to try. The water was waaaaay too cold though, so no skinny-dipping, or any other kind of dipping come to that!
