Next day I visited the Chinatown Heritage Centre, a very impressive museum devoted to the history of Chinatown and its occupants. As well as photographic displays and artefacts - like this tiger calendar from 1962 - it includes a complete re-creation of three shophouses that graphically depicts what it was like to live in them in the mid-20th century.
