How about cloning a second chair to the right? Maybe even adjust it's levels a tough to make it look slightly different and more 'real'. Love the picture, though

Good point about alignment of the chair and wall, hadn't considered that - learning is what these challenges are all about. As you said, maybe having the chair on the right is worth a try...there's just something about having a person (or in this case a chair) facing off to the short side of the frame that makes a shot feel 'truncated' (to me).

IMHO the chair faces well, the opposite direction would make it misalign to the wall. May be placing it to the right side would be worth to try. I agree with shoting this at lower sun, but not really due to the missing shadows but to eliminate the shadow at the upper left corner since the color and the form of the wood shutters are great. I like the reflections on the glass and the textures on the wall too. MCsaba

This is a shot that I really want to love. The colors are great - warm and subdued without being washed out. I wish the shadows weren't there (since this was shot at noon, I'd definitely try revisit at a more light friendly time).

Re. composition - (I really hope some others chime in on this as I'm not sure if this is just personal bias) - shadows aside, I generally like the composition of the shot. The chair is nicely positioned and the slight camera angle, rather than a head-on shot, works well. For me, there seems to be something a bit disconcerting about the chair facing left as it does. Given the position in the shot, my "subconscious" seems to want it facing to the right. As I said, could just be me, but I'd like to hear what others say.

All that said, I think this is a nice shot and well spotted.
