Mary June Small's portrait on mantel. The portrait was reproduced from a 4"x5" copy that H.W. kept encased in a plastic frame during the time he served in the Pacific theater of operations, WWII, 1943-45, as seen in the next image. The photo was scanned at high resolution with a Canoscan 9950F, restored with Photoshop CS2 and printed at 11"x14" with an Epson R1800 photo inkjet. It was presented to him on this date, January 3, 2006. An exact reproduction of the original wedding day photo that was included in the Kentucky Colonel mounting can be seen to the left. That is my reflection in the mirror between these two photos!
