I met this young man on the ferry going to Koh Samui Island. He was very personable,
and we got along well. He recognized my father's name (a Samui native), and took out his
wallet to show me a photo of his father. His father passed away when he was just a young boy,
but he seemed very fond of his dad. His father affectionately named him "Boy." And from the photo,
he was the living image of his father! As the ferry headed off to Samui, we parted ways. I turned back,
and caught Boy in what seemed to be a moment of reflection, seemingly lost in thought. Right after I
took this shot, Boy looked up, and seemed a little dazed. He then offered me a cigarette, perhaps to
break the moment.
